Spring Clean your Habits

Doing some spring cleaning? While you clean house of the clutter winter left behind, you can also make a few simple changes to spruce up your eating habits. These five tips for springtime wellness will get you past winter sluggishness to feeling your best all season long.

  1. Put some spring in your step

Winter blues, be gone. Birds are singing, the sun is shining and the outdoors are calling. Put some spring in your step, and take your activities outside to get some fresh air, sun and fun.

  1. Reach for water

In the winter, there’s nothing like cozying up with hot chocolate or a glass of red wine. Now that temperatures are on the rise, it’s tempting to reach for a refreshing soda or a cold one. To stay hydrated, skip some of those sugary drinks and choose water—you’ll be glad you did!

  1. Get back on track with sleep

Winter can throw off your sleep habits. Simple changes will help you get back in a good routine for spring. Whether by reading a book before bed or doing light yoga to unwind, prepping yourself for a great night’s sleep will help you catch the shuteye you need.  

  1. Plan ahead

When you’re heading out to tackle the day, plan ahead and bring healthy snacks with you. Having carrots, nuts, whole grains and other fresh foods on hand makes staying on track easy, and will keep you full and focused throughout the day.

  1. Treat yourself right
